Sylvie Guillem, one of the world’s most admired dancers, will appear for a second time at the 2013 Melbourne Festival with 6000 Miles Away, her latest collaboration with three of today’s most important choreographers – Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe and Mats Ek. The programme will wrap up the festival season on it's last two nights, Saturday 26 October and Sunday 27 October.
Choreographer Shaun Parker’s Trolleys will be presented at the 2013 AWESOME Festival on 12 – 14 October at Perth Cultural Centre Amphitheatre. Performed by Buzz Dance Theatre, the new outdoor work is part dance, part ballet and part outdoor spectacle.

The Boards of STEPS Youth Dance and Buzz Dance Theatre recently announced their intention to create a new West Australian contemporary dance company. The unanimous decision by both Boards comes after months of consultation. It is predicted that the respective operations will merge near the end of 2014.
