Todd McKenney will play Lord Farquaad in SHREK The Musical, Brisbane

Leading Australian theatre producer John Frost announced today that Todd McKenney will play Lord Farquaad in the lavish and fun multi-million dollar musical comedy SHREK THE MUSICAL in the Brisbane season up until 24 May. The Broadway smash hit will play at the Lyric Theatre, QPAC from 9 May, following the Sydney season which closes today and the Melbourne season at Her Majesty’s Theatre from 16 February.

New UnWrapped season: Short, smart, surprising contemporary performance works

The Sydney Opera House has announced a new season of UnWrapped, a bi-annual celebration of diverse, boundary-pushing works from some of Australia’s most admired independent contemporary performance-makers, selected from critically acclaimed debut seasons. Originally launched in 2018 as part of the Sydney Opera House’s Artist and Sector Development initiative, the first UnWrapped season for 2020 features a series of exhilarating and daring performances from 11 February  – 29 March 2020 with tickets from only $39.

SHREK The musical has opened in Melbourne Australia. Dance Informa was a part of the official green carpet opening on February 19th as stars from the entertainment world walked the very green (red) carpet to celebrate the occasion at Melbourne’s Her Majesty’s Theatre. The lavish and fun multi-million dollar musical comedy SHREK THE MUSICAL has bewitched Australia. After a popular season at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, The Star, it is now playing at Her Majesty’s Theatre, Melbourne until 26 April before moving to the Lyric Theatre, Brisbane from 9 May.
