The Helpmann Awards are the premier celebration of Australia’s vibrant live performance industry. With outstanding results year after year, the NCD training programs have students who are performing in all genres all over the world. Our courses are streamed to ensure you get the most advanced individualised training in the genre that you are most interested in being employed. Our training in all streams have an emphasis on classical and contemporary technique. NCD students are technical, versatile and highly sought after when completing their training. Our teachers and mentors all have the common goal of developing each dancer to a level capable to pursue their dreams. With over a decade of experience as a Registered Training Organisation, each student leaves with a nationally recognised qualification giving them future options after a successful career in dance.
National College of Dance also offers extra support in preparing students for auditions through regular in-house audition classes, Career Planning sessions, Audition video and photo portfolios and many guest artists and workshops. We also have an Alumni forum with the opportunity to link and remain in contact with many NCD past students located all over the world. NCD is also located in one of Australia’s most dynamic coastal towns.

Rehearsals for Sydney’s Hayes Theatre Co’s production of the new musical RAZORHURST have started. Set in Sydney’s Darlinghurst, this exciting new musical, with book and lyrics by Kate Mulley and music by Andy Peterson, will have its Australian premiere from 14 June.

The contemporary skills of The Royal Ballet will be showcased in the triple bill screenings. Audiences in Australia, are never far from a performance at the Royal Opera House, with the broadcast screened in 20 Event Cinemas nationwide and from 7 Village Cinemas in Victoria and Hobart from until July 2019.
Sydney Opera House presents the return encore season of The Choir of Man
The feel-good sing-along hit, The Choir of Man, will return to Sydney Opera House for an encore season in The Studio from 6 November – 1 December 2019 following its sold out four week season earlier this year.
New musical Come From Away
The ground-breaking new musical is based on the incredible real-life events in the wake of the September 11 tragedy when 38 planes carrying nearly 7,000 people from over 100 countries were redirected to Gander, Newfoundland, almost doubling the population of the remote Canadian town. Come From Away will commence previews from 3 July 2019 and open on Saturday 20 July at the newly refurbished Comedy Theatre in Melbourne.
