The World’s Smallest Stage by ADT

ADT is beyond excited to share with you their upcoming collaboration, The World’s Smallest Stage. They are working with indigenous dancers and choreographers from Kurruru, the team at Restless Dance Theatre, local independent choreographers and an eclectic range of local musicians, identified in partnership with Music SA, to bring The World’s Smallest Stage to you. Generously supported by Arts SA, The World’s Smallest Stage will see ten choreographers matched with twelve dancers and ten composers to create a series of new dance works, between 5-10 minutes’ each.

Adelaide Festival Centre will welcome Annette Shun Wah as Artistic Director of the 2021 OzAsia Festival, providing a fresh lens on Australia’s leading contemporary arts festival engaging with Asia. Ms Shun Wah is a freelance actor, writer and broadcaster and since 2013 has served as Executive Producer of Contemporary Asian Australian Performance – a non-profit organisation promoting cultural diversity through cross-artform theatrical works.

bbodance mourns the loss of renowned dancer and former Director, Anne Heaton

bbodance is very sad to announce the passing of former Director, renowned ballet dancer and teacher, Anne Heaton. She passed away at the age of 89. Together with her husband, John Field, Anne developed the existing bbodance Classical Ballet syllabus. As a result of their stewardship, bbodance syllabi and examinations were recognised by the Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT).

English National Ballet invites audiences around the world to join them for Wednesday Watch Parties. As part of ENB at HOME, never before seen full-length recordings of Company performances will be premiered online (Facebook/ YouTube) every Wednesday evening over the next month, giving people the chance to see some of English National Ballet’s most loved productions, for free, from their own homes. Recordings will be available for 48 hours.
