Yellow Wheel’s Trip The Light Opens Soon

Not seen since 2019, Yellow Wheel’s Trip The Light is making its return this week!

Trip The Light is Yellow Wheel’s choreographic program, in which a number of emerging choreographers, all current Yellow Wheel company members, are given the opportunity to develop their creative, choreographic and leadership skillsets. This year’s season of Trip The Light will display 8 new works by 9 emerging choreographers, and performed by the 2024 Yellow Wheel company. For many of the artists involved, it is their premiere or second experience presenting work.

Throughout the process the choreographers have been mentored and supported by Yellow Wheel staff to find their individual choreographic voices.

Alongside this, through workshops and conversations centred around the idea of choreographic process, the Yellow Wheelers connected with professional Dance Artists Rebecca Jensen, Caroline Meaden and Siobhan McKenna.

Yellow Wheel’s emerging choreographers were provided studio space by Lucy Guerin Inc. and The Space Dance and Arts Centre.
