Red Bull announces the full program for Red Bull Dance Your Style Weekender

Australia, brace yourselves for an exhilarating weekend of dance as the Red Bull Dance Your Style Weekender takes centre stage in 2024. This year, Red Bull is expanding the National Final to celebrate and crown the nation’s best street dance talent over a full weekend of workshops, panels, parties and music performances, held from 19 July to 21 Julyin Sydney, free to the public.

The Red Bull Dance Your Style National Final, held on Saturday 20th July at Carriageworks, Sydney, will be hosted by the dynamic Jasmine TXO and O’Shan, adding their infectious energy to the dance celebration throughout the weekend. The stage will be set ablaze by special performances from Keiynan Lonsdale, Larissa Lambert, Jamaica Moana and Miccy, along with an electrifying dance showcase by the Jannawi Dance Clan. Beyond the battles and performances, attendees can look forward to educational and engaging panels on topics like Culture & Community and Ambition & Self-Care presented by L’Oréal Men Expert, with insights from community leaders including Nooky, Riley Bourne and Xander Khoury. There will also be a choreo showcase by some of the best choreographers in the country.

Kicking off Red Bull Dance Your Style Weekender is a free party hosted by Dutty Dancing, Sydney’s longtime Afrobeats and Dancehall collective. Starting from 9pm at Tokyo Sing Song at The Marlborough Hotel in Newtown, the event features DJs  Shantan Wantan Ichiban, Talisha, Nick Toth, Teesoul and Ovo.

Wrapping up the weekend, on Sunday, 21 July, Red Bull will host a series of special workshops featuring top dance talents including Kapela (FRA), Lady Chika, Nadiah and Taimania. With free registration, these classes are a must-attend event for all aspiring dancers!

Part of a global series spanning more than 30 countries, Red Bull Dance Your Style is a vibrant celebration of Australia’s street dance scene, culminating with the nation’s top dancers competing for glory via audience-voted, one-on-one mixed-style dance battles. Returning for a 2024 season, Red Bull Dance Your Style will amplify street-dance scenes from across the country, inviting the best dancers from different street disciplines to battle it out to determine who will go on to represent the country at the Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Mumbai, India.

The journey to the final has been a fierce competition, spanning state qualifying events across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra and Adelaide, qualifiers will now battle it out head-to-head for the chance to be crowned Australia’s champion and represent the nation in Mumbai this November.

Red Bull Dance Your Style is more than just a competition – it’s a celebration of raw talent, artistic expression, and street dance culture. Championing all styles from hip-hop to popping, afro to ballroom, waacking to locking, dancers from all disciplines will participate in the exhilarating all-style, one-on-one battles.
