Tracks Dance Leadership Program Applications Now Open

Tracks Dance Company is offering a year-long mentoring program where participants will work closely with Spillett in a safe and nurturing space to foster artistic skills, amplify young voices and guide career aspirations. Their goal is to amplify and represent young dancers and diverse voices in the life of dance practice.

Participants will have the opportunity to develop their artistic dance practice. They will experience how to navigate the industry as an independent artist, taking on leadership roles within an organisation, with the support of the Tracks creative team.

This program is aimed at young emerging artists with an intermediate level of experience in dance or movement (in any style). Tracks’ Leadership Program provides support and a space for participants to be curious, take creative risks and exercise their leadership skills.

The program is led by Spillett, with guest facilitation by Tracks’ Creative team, and the opportunity to connect with active artists, both locally and nationally. 

Applications are due by midnight on 12 February, and successful applicants will be notified no later than 16 February. Tracks is accepting up to five participants (15-25 years old). If your application is successful, you will be invited to attend an Introductory Workshop for participants and parents (if under 18) on Thursday 29th February 2024 5:30pm-6:30pm.

You will also need to commit to one session per week- Thursdays 3:00pm-5:00pm. at the Tracks Dance Studio, Harbour View Plaza. Sessions begin in March and run through November. Additional Sessions will be organised with the Leaders when necessary.
