Tanya Pearson Academy Creates World Class Dance Facility in Sydney in 2022

The prestigious Tanya Pearson Academy is excited to announce that in 2022, they will create a new state of the art world class dance facility in Sydney, which will become their new home.

The new architect designed facility will house seven spacious purpose-built studios with professional sound systems and sprung floors; an in-house theatre performance space; academic classrooms; Pilates/gym & physiotherapy facilities and increased dedicated space for students to socialise.

TPA’s new premiere dance facility will be located in the heart of St. Leonards, close to train and bus connections, and has an abundance of free onsite parking.

Since 1971, The Tanya Pearson Academy has long been established as a premier ballet academy with an international reputation. The founder of the school, Tanya Pearson, was recognised by the Australian Government and awarded the Order of Australia Medal for her significant contribution to the Arts in Australia.

Xanthe Geeves, a former student of Tanya Pearson, serves as Creative Director. Gregor Thieler serves as Executive Director, and Lucinda Dunn OAM, the longest serving Principal of The Australian Ballet, is now Artisitic Director. Together, they lead a large faculty of highly respected teachers. TPA offers a variety of programs for dancers of all ages and stages, including a Career Development Program for those wishing to pursue dance professionally.

The creation of this new centre of excellence in Sydney will greatly increase performance opportunities for TPA students and will secure the future of TPA as a world class ballet academy.
