RAD Festival of Dance – Over $15,000 in Prizes!

The submission deadline for the RAD Festival of Dance is swiftly approaching! This year’s event offers a platform for dancers to exhibit their talents, compete for coveted scholarships and prizes and meet other passionate dancers from across the state.
 
RAD is proud to announce that the Festival of Dance stands as one of the premier competitions in Perth, distinguishing itself by offering over $15,000 in combined cash and voucher prizes. Such an extensive prize pool underscores their commitment to supporting and rewarding exceptional talent within the community.
 
In each category, participants have the opportunity to compete for both cash and voucher rewards. Additionally, RAD is pleased to announce the availability of distinguished scholarships tailored to various age groups:

For ages 10-12, dancers can win the Evelyn Hodgkinson Scholarship (Recipient: $500, Runner-up: $250). Dancers ages 13-14 can win the Robin Haig Scholarship (Recipient: Up to $1500, Runner-up: Up to $500). For dancers ages 15-16, they can win the Joan Stacy Scholarship (Recipient: $2000, Runner-up: $1000). Finally, dancers 17 and above are eligible for the Linley Wilson Scholarship (Recipient: $3000, Runner-up: $1000).

The 2024 adjudicator panel includes renowned dance experts Vicki Attard, Carina Roberts and Melissa McCabe. With their wealth of experience and unparalleled passion for the art of dance, RAD is confident that they will bring a fresh perspective and invaluable insights to the festival. Their expertise promises to inspire and guide performers to new heights of excellence.


The Festival of Dance will take place from 30 May – 02 June in Perth, Western Australia.  

RAD Australia invites students to take part in the Festival of Dance WA 2024. This Festival is open to students from WA studying all methods of training and aims to bring together the dance community in a positive and uplifting way.

The Festival of Dance gives WA dancers the chance to compete for a range of awards and has long been a springboard for the careers of many aspiring and pre-professional dancers in the region. The Festival has become a highlight for the dance community of WA and a fantastic performance opportunity for students.

The Festival will culminate in a Gala performance on Monday 3rd June, with performances from the award recipients and special guest artists and the awarding of the coveted David McAllister Cup.
