Book now for Sprung Dance Theatre’s Dis-Co Ball

Dis-Co Ball is Sprung’s new annual disability community ball, bringing people together for an evening of unashamed joyous dancing, inspired by and featuring their Community Artists. Drawing inspiration from the Met Gala, (one of New York’s most prestigious and glamorous events of the year) Dis-Co Ball is a night for EVERYONE to live large on the red carpet. Reimagining this glamorous affair in a way that centres and celebrates access and inclusion.

Expect pop up performances from Sprung Artists, drama on the red carpet and a collective celebration of difference on the dance floor. Artists and Audience alike are invited to dress to impress.

Dis-Co Ball is part performance, part fashion runway and part social disco! Audience members will be invited into the theatre where there are places to sit and watch the performance, and at key moments, invited by Sprung artists to join in some dancing. Rest assured, dancing is not compulsory, if you prefer to watch the action. There will also be light refreshments available.

Dis-Co Ball will take place on Sunday 12 November at Lennox Head Centre from 5 pm – 7 pm (NSW time). Cost is $25 / $15 for kids under 12. This event will be Auslan interpreted and is wheelchair accessible, with accessible bathrooms. A quiet room is available for use throughout the event.
