Pole Art, a style of pole dance renowned for its artistic and experimental nature, takes centre stage at the Australian Pole Art Championships. Departing from the commercial realm, this unique form of expression will redefine pole dance through barefoot exploration of movement, originality, technical brilliance, and fluidity of movement. Driven by the desire to provide an alternative platform for pole athletes and the pole dance industry, the Australian Pole Art Championships is on an exciting mission.

“We aim to nurture physical and artistic prowess while expanding the horizons of pole dance into the art house realm,” explained Jennifer Grace, a former professional ballet dancer and now, Founder and Director of The Australian Pole Art Championships. “We wish to provide an alternative platform for pole athletes, and this event will celebrate the convergence of athleticism and artistry.”

From breathtaking acrobatics to evocative storytelling, the 2023 Australian Pole Art Championships promises an exhilarating and emotive experience. Judged by an expert panel of pole and dance judges, including Sydney Dance Company’s Ramon Doringo and America’s Got Talent’s Kristy Sellars, the Australian Pole Art Championships is an unmissable event for pole dance enthusiasts, art aficionados, and anyone seeking an extraordinary entertainment.

The Australian Pole Art Championships will take place 5 August at 6:30 pm at South Juniors. Tickets begin at $62 and bookings can be found here.
