WA Ballet hosts Monday Vernissage soon
The day after West Australian Ballet concludes its Indonesian tour (running August 2–7), it will host its second Monday Vernissage for 2016. This event is a chance to get up close and personal with the designs and designers of WA Ballet’s brand-new production The Nutcracker.
Guests are invited to enjoy an intimate and insightful hour with internationally acclaimed designers Charles Cusick Smith and Philip R. Daniels as they take them on a journey through the art of ballet design.
The charismatic pair have created designs for ballet and theatre productions for leading companies around the world (such as English National Ballet, Hong Kong Ballet and Greek National Ballet) and are inviting you to step inside their world and experience not just the colour and lights but also the meticulous planning and engineering required to make magic happen on stage.
Set for Monday, August 8 at 7 pm (6:30 pm arrival recommended), the event costs $25 per person or $20 for subscribers and students. It includes a glass of bubbly on arrival.
