STRUT danceSTRUT dance is seeking a dynamic new leader for the organisation, someone who has a deep love for contemporary dance and experience within the arts in general.

 

STRUT dance is a unique Perth-based Choreographic Development Centre, spearheading the development of artists and community culture for contemporary dance within Western Australia.

 

Founded in 2002, STRUT dance seeks a new leader to transition the organisation from ten years of solid growth to a new development phase, fostering one of the fastest growing and most vibrant dance communities in Australia. Current Director Agnes Michelet will be departing soon to take on new opportunities.

 

The Director position is responsible for successfully creating and managing STRUT dance programs. The role contributes to achieving the objectives of the business plan and its ongoing review with the support of the STRUT Management Committee. The role is key to achieve STRUT’s vision to instigate a dynamic contemporary dance culture within Western Australia.

 

Applicants should have leadership skills, high levels of communication, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills, financial management experience, a commitment to innovation, knowledge of the global artistic environment and the proven ability to supervise, coach, mentor and develop staff.
