PICA Artistic Proposal Call Out

PICAThe Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) is currently accepting proposals from artists, companies, curators and producers for studio residencies, creative developments and/or the presentation of new work in and around PICA during 2014.

PICA, a producing and presenting institution that runs a year-round program of changing exhibitions, actively engages and supports new contemporary dance, experimental theatre, music and live art, as well as a range of interdisciplinary projects and creative development opportunities.

PICA welcomes 2014 proposals from individuals or artistic teams that “push the boundaries of their genre, are conceptually, formally or technologically ambitious, and that contribute to current cultural or art form developments.”

For convenience, the organisation has developed a streamlined, one-page application procedure for both development and presentation proposals across all art forms.

For WA theatre practitioners interested in applying to DCA’s new Theatre Works Grant program for the development and/or presentation of new theatre work, PICA is offering an early deadline and notification timeline. The deadline for proposals from DCA Theatre Works Grant applicants is 22 April.

Other proposals are due by 1 May. For more information or to access all application forms, visit www.pica.org.au.
