Opera Australia presents BMW Opera for All

Opera’s most famous music — live under a summer sky! Gather your loved ones and get ready to head to Fed Square: you’re invited to a free concert in the beating heart of Melbourne’s CBD.

BMW Opera for All is a global concert series that returns to Australia in 2024, exclusive to Melbourne.

Hear thrilling high notes and stunning harmonies, and experience the uplifting force of opera. This one-hour, open air concert is performed by some of our brightest stars, backed by a fabulous live orchestra featuring musicians from Orchestra Victoria.

Featured Artists include Olivia Cranwell (Soprano), Dimity Shepherd (Mezzo-Soprano), Shanul Sharma (Tenor), and Simon Meadows (Baritone). Orchestra Victoria will be conducted by Brian Castles-Onion AM.

Opera Australia has put together a selection of the most popular arias in opera. There’ll be tunes familiar to everybody — both hardcore opera lovers and total newcomers — and perhaps a few new discoveries along the way.

There’s no better way to spend a summer afternoon in Melbourne.

The best part? It’s totally free, and there’s no need to register for tickets in advance.
