NZDC launches classes for seniors

New Zealand Dance Company 2017 Creative Dance Classes for SeniorsThe New Zealand Dance Company (NZDC) now offers Creative Dance Classes for Seniors at two locations. The program, entitled “Feisty Feet”, kicked off on 22 February and runs through 16 August.

Seniors are encouraged to enjoy their physical well-being and confidence through various activities and routines. NZDC declared, “Dance your way into the year with fun, social and safe classes!”

For those interested but who have never danced before, NZDC reassures you that no previous dance experience is necessary. Sessions include a light warm up and joyful movement sequences that build from week to week.

Led by teacher Kerry-Ann Stanton, weekly classes are open to all people ages 60 and up. The two different locations and times are: 10 – 11 am on Wednesdays at Subud Hall in Pt. Chevalier; and 1 – 2 pm on Wednesdays at Blockhouse Bay Senior Citizens Hall.
