INDOKids Fest 2021
As part of Inner West’s vibrant Multicultural Community-led Celebration Day, INDOKids Fest 2021 will be a family fun day for everyone that celebrates Indonesian arts and community on Saturday 27th March at Leichhardt Town Hall, Sydney.
Danielle Moeda, Director of INDOKids Fest 2021 and principal dancer for NSW-based Suara Indonesia Dance, is looking forward to this special event. It will be the first live event since 2019 that is specifically for children in our Indonesian community.
“This INDOKids Festival is especially focused on showcasing the wonderful talents of our kids, and the hard work they have been doing as extra curricular dance and music activities to help keep our culture alive,” says Moeda. “We are proud to be passing on our knowledge of traditional dance to the next generation.”
Join the Indonesian traditional costume fashion show competition for kids aged between 4-12 and get a chance to win awesome prizes. Come and visit the arts & crafts corners, and of course try traditional cuisines from Indonesia. There will be disco time for all the kids by the end of the day.
The Festival will be streamed live and also include performances by international guests in Indonesia. Don’t miss the special kids performances from Sanggar Tari Bali Saraswati who will present Balinese dance, Sanggar Nusantara with a dance from East Kalimantan, Jack and Keanu’s Dulwich Hill Primary Poppers (Popping dance), Sanggar Laros with a special performance from East Java, Indonesian Arts and Culture Club, and our very own Suara Indonesia Dance teens class.
