Free workshops offered in Scenic Rim region

The Scenic Rim Regional Council is sponsoring free monthly “Get Your Dance Shoes On!” workshops at Beaudesert, Boonah and Tambourine Mountain. There are swing, ballroom and new vogue classes for beginners and beyond through September in recognition of the Anzac Centenary.

“Dance has always been an important part of a community’s social fabric over the years,” says the program’s description. “Do you like to kick up your heels and have some fun? Do you want to learn how to do the popular dances of the decades from 1930’s onwards? Do you know how to dance, but want to refine your technique? Then these workshops are for you!”

Dance teachers from Planet Ballroom and The Lindy Charm School will lead the workshops, teaching attendees everything from how to quick step to carouselling to swing. These classes are a great way to prepare for the Scenic Rim Centennial Balls in October and November too!
