Circa and Opera Queensland join forces for Orpheus & Eurydice

This month Circa and Opera Queensland are deep in rehearsals for Orpheus & Eurydice which is part of their 2020 season. At its core, Orpheus & Eurydice is a profoundly timeless story of the human condition exploring love, loss and the innate, often overwhelming desire to return our loved ones to life.

 In reverence to its powerful narrative, German composer Gluck chose to abandon the highly ornamented style of the period and create a work of great simplicity. What emerged is one of the most stirring scores ever written. You can have a listen to some of the music that will be on stage for this thrilling show next month at QPAC. LISTEN
