Ausdance NSW’s Dance Space Residencies

Ausdance NSW’s Dance Space Residency Program invites independent dance artists, collectives and companies to submit proposals for the 2013 program.

This initiative, funded through Ausdance NSW, offers Dance Space Residencies at host venues for Sydney’s independent dance artists. The program is a direct response to the ongoing challenge of access to affordable and appropriate spaces. It allows artists to further their dance practice, progress in their creative development, nurture mentorships and conduct rehearsals of their work.

Ausdance NSW provides 14 weeks in total for residencies and informal showings. These weeks will be allocated into 1 to 4 week residencies for successful applicants. 

Ausdance NSW seeks to accommodate requested dates wherever possible, although alternative dates cannot be guaranteed. 

Artists are only eligible to apply if they are a current member of Ausdance NSW, a independent dancer, company member or performance maker, at least 18 years of age and a resident of New South Wales.
