Audition for Quantum Leap Ensemble 2024

QL2 Dance is hosting an open audition for Quantum Leap, a youth dance company made up of dancers aged 14-26. Members of the ensemble will work collaboratively with professional choreographers Alisdair Macindoe, Gabrielle Nankivell and Ruth Osborne to create ‘Subject to Change’, a new, full length contemporary dance work premiering at the Canberra Theatre Centre Playhouse in May 2024. Auditions will be this Sunday, 3^rd December 10 am – 2 pm at QL2 Studio, Gorman Arts Centre. Only those who have pre-registered will be able to audition.

Dancers should be available for the January Intensive, January 15^th – 26^th (with the 21^st as a rest day) from 9 am -5 pm daily. There will also be Sunday rehearsals 4^th February – 7^th April, excluding Easter Sunday. The April Intensive takes place from 9 am – 5 pm, 15 – 19 April, 21 – 24 April, and 26-27 April, with rest days on April 20 & 25. Sunday rehearsals will continue 5^th – 12^th May culminating with production week 13^th – 18^th May.

QL2 Dance is a not-for-profit arts organisation funded by artsACT. The cost of participating in this project is $495 which includes a project t-shirt. This cost is heavily subsidised.
