Two breathtaking performances from two of Australia’s leading contemporary circus companies – Circa Cairns & Circa – take over the Playhouse in partnership with QPAC this November.

Son from Circa Cairns is about the relationship between fathers and sons told through striking acrobatics, tempered cultural dance and sung into existence live by First Nations quartet Kardajala Kirridarra. Diving into the complex dynamics between fathers, sons and identity, this groundbreaking performance spotlights First Nations acrobats.

The thrill of circus meets the mayhem of Mozart as the legendary artists’ compositions are brought to life amidst a storm of powder, tumbles and crashes, all under the eccentric swirl of the conductor’s baton.
