WAB presents exclusive talk with David Nixon

Canadian choreographer and Northern Ballet artistic directorWest Australian Ballet (WAB) will present David Nixon’s The Great Gatsby on September 14-30 at His Majesty’s Theatre. The stylish production, which is based on the plot of the famous novel by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald, will be accompanied by live music performed by the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

 

Canadian choreographer David Nixon OBE has been artistic director of Northern Ballet since 2001. A giant in the world of ballet, he has made an enormous contribution to ballet repertoire – in his six years with BalletMet alone he was responsible for 16 world premieres!

 

Now Perth dance fans have the exclusive opportunity to hear Nixon speak about the art of choreography and his fascinating career that has taken him across the globe. He will engage attendees at an Artist Talk scheduled for Monday, August 28 at 7 p.m. at the West Australian Ballet Centre in Maylands.
