Share the stage with Sydney Dance Company!

2016 New Breed season at CarriageworksSydney Dance Company is extending a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to members of the general public to share the stage with its dancers!

“Love dance but perhaps you have two left feet? No worries, you are exactly who we’re looking for,” states the company’s call for applicants.

SDC invites you to be a part of this year’s exciting New Breed season at Carriageworks. Volunteers are required for a new work entitled Epic Theatre by Melbourne choreographer Shian Law. Read the choreographer spotlight about Law and the work here.

Volunteers will perform their own identities as “people” in Law’s work. They will be standing, walking or sitting in simple arrangements while sharing centre stage with SDC artists.

To further clarify, this is not a call out for professional dancers. SDC is looking for a diverse range of people; all ages (18+), shapes and sizes are welcome.

Volunteers will be required for rehearsals on Sunday, November 27 during the day and Monday, November 28 during the evening. They will perform in a minimum of three performances between Tuesday, November 29 and Saturday, December 10.

Don’t miss out on this exciting and rare opportunity to share the stage with the extraordinary dancers of Sydney Dance Company! Sign up at www.sydneydancecompany.com.
