Norwegian Cruise Line Melbourne Auditions

The times have changed for this week’s Melbourne auditions for Norwegian Cruise Line. Set on Thursday, November 19, the new schedule has the Vocalist Open Call sign in at 9:30 and the audition starting at 10 a.m. Male dancers will start their audition at 2 p.m. and female dancers at 4 p.m.

All auditions will be held at Patrick Studios, located at 2/359 Plummer Street,
Port Melbourne, Victoria, 3207.

At the Vocalist Open Call, some vocalists will be asked to dance and to learn music selections from Norwegian Cruise Line shows. Singers should bring clothes to change into for the movement callback.

For their auditions, male and female dancers should come early to warm-up and sign in. The company is seeking dancers with strong technique and experience in multiple dance styles. All auditionees will learn a variety of combinations and may be asked to tap. Applicants must have an athletic, slim/toned body. Males should have a strong physique and be able to perform onstage shirtless when required.

For dancers, all gymnastics, aerial training, tumbling and partnering skills are a big plus! They should bring a picture and resume stapled together as well as jazz shoes/character heels and tap shoes if they have them.

Singers should be diverse performers with strong vocal abilities and dynamic personalities for R&B, Pop/Rock and Contemporary Musical Theatre. They must prepare 16-32 bars of a ballad and up-tempo vocals. They’re required to bring sheet music in the proper key for the provided accompanist.

For Priscilla Queen of the Desert lead and ensemble roles auditions, performers should schedule an appointment for November 20 or 21. They should send a photo and their CV, including their height, to priscillacasting2016@gmail.com.
