Experience: BA(Dance)/B Education Tara is a tertiary qualified teacher with a double degree in Dance and Drama Education from the University of NSW. With eleven years experience as a teacher and choreographer, Tara has taught at many reputable schools in Sydney and overseas. She has trained under some of Australia’s most renowned teachers including Sue Ellen Chester, Bill Pengelly (Bangara Dance Theatre), and Narell Benjamin. Throughout her dance career Tara has performed across a wide variety of genres and styles. She has performed in works created by some of Australia’s leading freelance choreographers such as Tom Hodgson (Billy Elliot choreographer), and Paulina Quantros (choreographer for the Australian Ballet). In 2007 Tara was apart of Company 34, a contemporary dance company lead by Sue Healey (award winning choreographer, educator and dance-film maker). In the same year, Tara was selected to perform in the inaugural Short and Sweet Dance Festival.
