At The Royal Ballet School, we offer annual auditions for our full-time and Associate programmes, seeking young dancers with a passion for classical ballet and the potential to pursue a professional career in dance.
We welcome applications from all, ensuring that no student should feel discouraged from applying. Admission to the School is based purely on potential in classical ballet, regardless of personal circumstances or academic background. Dancers who have auditioned previously are encouraged to re-apply. Every applicant is offered the opportunity to attend a preliminary audition.
Our auditions are held for entry into the following:
• Full-time training: Years 7, 8, and 10 at White Lodge and 1st, 2nd, and Pre-professional Years at Upper School
• Associate programmes: Mid, Senior, and Advanced levels.
We do not accept full-time students to join in the final year of either the Foundation (Year 9) or Development (Year 11) programmes.
INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES
International candidates who cannot attend an in-person audition in the UK are invited to submit a video audition. Successful candidates from both the preliminary and semi-final stages are required to attend the final auditions in London.
