World’s Largest Breaking Competition returns to Australia  

Highly anticipated and prestigious one-on-one breaking competition, Red Bull BC One, returns to Australia for the 21st edition. For the first time, Red Bull BC One will hold three East Coast City Cypher qualifying events across Melbourne/Naarm (11 Aug), Sydney/Eora (16 Aug) and Brisbane/Meanjin (18 Aug) leading into the final taking place on Sunday 25th August 2024 at Metro Theatre in Sydney/Eora.

The Red Bull BC One City Cypher qualifying events will see the best 16 B-boys and 8 B-girls from across the country compete to become Australia’s champion and representative at the World Final. Breakers in the Australian final include 13 male wildcard entries, 3 male state Cypher winners, 5 female wildcard entries and 3 female state Cypher winners. Competitors go head-to-head in knock-out battles, where skills, technique, spontaneity, and creativity will determine who will be crowned the Australian champion.

Celebrating its 21st year, Red Bull BC One is a one-on-one breaking competition which began in 2004 with the annual World Final event being hosted in a different major city across the world each year.

Every year, thousands of breakers from around the globe compete for a chance to represent at the world’s most prestigious one-on-one breaking competition, the Red Bull BC One World Final. Brace yourselves for the next great spectacle as this year the World Final is being held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on Saturday 7th December, 2024.

With over 90 qualifying events hosted across 28 countries, the Red Bull BC One World Final brings together the world’s best breakers from all corners of the globe for an electrifying event where dancers display the highest level of power moves, toprock steps, footwork, freezes, tricks and more to the dance floor.
