VDF25 Studio 7 Ignite Applications are open now!

Applications are open now for Studio 7 Ignite at VDF25. You’re invited to light up the stage for Melbourne’s biggest night of dance. Join VDF on stage at Ignite 2025 as they spotlight our talented dance community!

Dance companies, independent choreographers (with groups), dance studios and dance troupes are welcome to apply now to light up the stage on Saturday 24 May.

Ignite is a massive industry quality, produced live performance, presented to an audience of over 1,300 people, professionally filmed and later broadcast to the world on the VDF YouTube Channel.

To perform, dancers must be participating in the VDF weekend and have a valid VDF25 ticket. All performances must have a minimum of 10 dancers. Dancers can perform any style, and the best news is, participation in Ignite is free!

Last year VDF had to close applications early due to the huge volume, and the show sold out yet again, so get in your application early.

All studio/company performances are subject to approval from the festival directors. See website for full terms and conditions. Closing date for application 1 March.
