Keep Kids Safe in Dance (KKSID) will offer dance specific Child Safe Training for Dance Educators and Studio Owners at VDF25. This training is offered at a hugely discounted rate and is a helpful and important resource available exclusively to those with a Vitality Dance Teacher Conference ticket, as part of the Vitality program.

KKSID raise awareness on the current issues surrounding dance whilst educating and mentoring studio owners, teachers, parents, students, workshop facilitators, competition judges and event planners on all areas of child safety. KKSID helps dance studios become child safe organisations in line with Government policies.

Dance Teacher Child Safe Training will take place on Saturday, 24 May from 2-3 pm. If you teach in a dance studio, you have a legal and ethical responsibility to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your students. State-wide Child Safe Standards and National Principles for Child Safety apply to every teacher, assistant, and educator working with children—but do you truly understand what this means in your role and is your training up to date?

Studio Owner Child Safe Training will take place on Saturday, 24 May from 3 – 5 pm. As a business owner and studio director working with children, you carry a legal and moral responsibility to keep young dancers safe. In many states of Australia there are Mandatory Child Safe Standards. Do you know and understand the requirements? Do you know how to implement the National child safe Principles?
