The Wonderful World of Will: A school holiday treat

These school holidays, Bell Shakespeare invites you to a rollicking ride that will inspire young minds to venture into the world of Shakespeare with The Wonderful World of Will.

Bell Shakespeare’s Players will take you back to 1599 to meet William Shakespeare himself, as well as a host of memorable characters from history in this spirited, funny and informative show designed for primary-aged children and their families. The Wonderful World of Will is the perfect introduction to the world of Shakespeare, combining fun historical facts with excerpts from a range of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.

“Adults and children loved it. We didn’t stop laughing throughout,” said Corrimal East Public School.

The fun continues after the show, so stick around and dive deeper into the Wonderful World of Will. Ever wanted to learn how to throw a fierce (but harmless!) stage punch? Want to learn some of Shakespeare’s best insults, or his most romantic compliments? Following each performance by Bell Shakespeare’s Players, artists will lead fun, hands-on activities for children and parents to learn how to speak, fight and fall in love in Shakespeare. They’ll even have a colouring competition for the littlest groundlings!

Strap yourselves in for your journey back in time to Elizabethan England – just watch out you don’t lose your head!

The Wonderful World of Will is by Joanna Erskine and directed by Felix Jozeps. Performances will take place 6-9 July at The Seed, Pier 2/3 Sydney. Tickets are $10 for children and $25 for adults. Click here to book tickets and learn more.
