The Australian Ballet’s Storytime Ballet Returns this December
The Australian Ballet is excited to announce that Storytime Ballet is returning this December with a magical performance of David McAllister’s The Sleeping Beauty.
Telling the story of a beautiful princess who must sleep for 100 years until woken by true love’s kiss, The Sleeping Beauty dazzles with glittering tutus and most-loved characters, set to Tchaikovsky’s hum-along score. Running for under an hour, this narrated version of The Sleeping Beauty will have children dancing in their seats…and all the way home. Don’t forget to dress up in your favourite ballet-inspired outfit!
This Storytime Ballet features Choreography by Marius Petipa; Production and additional choreography by David McAllister; Creative associate Nicolette Fraillon; Music by Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky; Costume and set design by Hugh Colman; and Lighting design by Jon Buswell.
Storytime will be coming to Sydney (21-31 December), Adelaide (6-9 January), Canberra (14-16 January), Brisbane (19-22 January) and Melbourne (26-29 January).
