Admire exquisite costumes by acclaimed set and costume designer Tom Pye, who has created an opulent world in which to explore the gilded cage of 19th century Russian aristocracy. Prepare to be captivated by breathtaking design by Tony award winner Finn Ross. After bringing Harry Potter to life on stage, Ross has developed a suite of atmospheric lighting projections to immerse us in this passionate tale.
Anna Karenina is choreographed by Yuri Possokhov, a former dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet, who delivers a dynamic and expressive style, where storytelling soars through the power of movement. Finally, be swept away by cinematic soundscape with Ilya Demutsky’s glorious music, which evokes the grand film scores of Hollywood’s golden age, using Mezzo Soprano solos to give voice to Anna’s inner emotions.
“Unforgettable. An alluring and very sleek production,” says The Age.
