RB Corp. Instruction announces audition

The Hive 2019 Season AuditionsDancers who will be aged 9 to 21 as of April 1, 2019 are invited to audition this Sunday, October 21 for a project-based collective in Brisbane. RB Corp. Instruction’s first original work, The Hive, is set to premiere in Brisbane in September 2019 and dancers are now being recruited.

According to RB Corp. Instruction (RBCI), its mission is “to provide a unique environment for dancers to enhance their creative aptitudes in, and ultimately assist their development as aspiring artists through this quality performance opportunity”. It’ll break participants into three tiers: a Junior Company (9- and 10-year-olds), a Intermediate Company (11- and 12-year-olds) and an Advanced Company (13-21 years old).

RBCI’s inaugural season will require dancers to rehearse fortnightly per age level, commencing July 2019 (beginning of Term 3) through to September 2019 (end of Term 3). Rehearsals will essentially run over five Sundays (July 21, August 4, August 18, September 1 and September 15). Then an intensive rehearsal period in lead-up to the performance will be from Sunday, September 22 to Thursday, September 26, 2019. The performance is scheduled for Friday, September 27, 2019.

The only rehearsal exceptions will be made for dancers already committed to the Eisteddfod Season (strictly groups/performance teams only), particularly for those competing in the Gold Coast Eisteddfod in August 2019.

The deadline to apply for this Sunday’s audition is fast approaching! The audition, which will be held at the Classical Coaching Australia/Brisbane City Youth Ballet Studios in Kedron, QLD, has a fee of $35. Register now here.

For dancers unable to make the in-person audition on October 21, online auditions are also being accepted. However, note that an online link without the corresponding registration details will make the application invalid. If wishing to submit an online link, dancers should contact Riley at rileybaldwin93@gmail.com after registering at the link above to receive requirements.

RBCI will require the following fees be paid, according to the tier each participant is involved in: $750 for the Junior Company and Intermediate Company, and $950 for the Advanced Company.
