RAW’s 2013 Graduation Showcase this Sunday

Award-winning RAW Dance Company presents a night of high-energy dance, circus, musical theatre, acrobatics and more from 19 of RAW’s 2013 graduates. The 2013 Full Time graduates will dance, leap, bounce, boogie, sway, prance and twist their way onto the Schonell Theatre in St Lucia, QLD at 7 p.m. this Sunday, December 8.

The students will present a smorgasbord of group, solo and duo routines – including hip-hop, commercial jazz, zouk, circus, gymnastics, tap, contemporary, salsa, cabaret, popping, locking, break and tech jazz. Showcasing this diversity of routines illustrates why RAW is now one of the Australia’s leading educators – presenting programs for primary, secondary and tertiary students Australia wide, as well as partnering with hundreds of organisations and council bodies to conduct workshops for over 100,000 students each year.

RAW’s Full Time graduates have been studying their Certificate IV in Dance for more than 40 weeks, from Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., in preparation for this graduation showcase. The graduating students range in age from 17 to 23 years old, with six male and 13 female performers.

RAW has already auditioned over 100 students for its 2014 Full Time Program. RAW has confirmed 25 students for the program, which will commence on Monday 3 February 2014.
