RAW wraps up Adelaide season of ‘UNTAPPED’
Direct from its New York season at New Victory Theater, RAW Dance Company opened its season of UNTAPPED in Adelaide, SA on February 25. Performances run through this Sunday, March 13, at The Vagabond, Garden of Unearthly Delights.
UNTAPPED is described as a “high-octane dance, music and comical experience for the whole family.” It serves up a mix of urban tap, street style and hip sounds “overlaid with a healthy dose of self-deprecating Aussie humour.” It’s strong, contemporary and highly virtuosic yet propelled by a “loose, easy, natural energy.”
Directed by Andrew Fee, the founder of RAW, the show features So You Think You Can Dance Australia Season 1 Winner Jack Chambers, former Squared Division assistant Sally Hare, former Burn The Floor performer and current cruise line entertainer Kieran Heilbronn, newbie Brianna Taylor and Kiwi commercial dancer Ginner Whitcombe. Hare and Taylor are regarded as two of Australia’s top female tap dancers and are giving the boys a “run for their money” with their punk rock demeanors and angelic feet in UNTAPPED.
