Rambert to audition male dancers in Sydney

Rambert auditions male dancers in SydneyRambert, together with world-renowned choreographer Lloyd Newson, is looking for male dancers for the re-creation of DV8’s Enter Achilles. An open audition will be held this Sunday, October 21 in Sydney!

 

According to the audition posting, performers will be asked to play confident and gregarious football lads in a British pub. This role requires exceptional contact dance skills and an understanding of the connection between meaning and movement. 

 

The audition will be held at The Drill Hall, 1C New Beach Rd, Darling Point, NSW. It’ll start at 10 a.m. after sign-in opens at 9 a.m. Recalls are scheduled for Monday–Wednesday, October 22–24.

 

In addition to needing to bring a hard copy of their CV and headshot, those auditioning are asked to learn two parts from a video of Enter Achilles. For more information, visit www.rambert.org.uk.

 

Rehearsals commence October 2019 and the production tours internationally from 2020. The project will be co-produced by Rambert and Sadler’s Wells.
