Opera Australia presents BMW Opera for All
Opera’s most famous music — live under a summer sky! Gather your loved ones and get ready to head to Fed Square: you’re invited to a free concert presented by Opera Australia in the beating heart of Melbourne’s CBD.
BMW Opera for All is a global concert series that’s coming to Australia for the first time in 2023, exclusively to Melbourne.
Hear thrilling high notes and stunning harmonies, and experience the uplifting force of opera. This one-hour, open air concert is performed by some of Australia’s brightest stars, backed by a fabulous live orchestra featuring musicians from Orchestra Victoria.
Opera Australia has put together a selection of the most popular arias in opera. There’ll be tunes familiar to everybody — both hardcore opera lovers and total newcomers — and perhaps a few new discoveries along the way.
There’s no better way to spend a summer afternoon in Melbourne.

With only two weeks to go until BMW Opera for All takes over Fed Square, Opera Australia is pleased to introduce the four brilliant singers who will be performing.
Highly celebrated for her performance as Maria in West Side Story at Arts Centre Melbourne, Soprano: Sophie Salvesani. Melbourne-born and three time Green Room Award-winner, Mezzo-soprano: Dimity Shepherd. Known for his concert performances with Opera Australia and internationally, Tenor: Simon Kim. His recent role debut in La Traviata at Sydney Opera House received high praise (★★★★★ Arts Hub), Baritone: Luke Gabbedy.
