Melbourne City Ballet set to sparkle off stage

Carnival-inspired 2017 Fundraising GalaMelbourne City Ballet is set to sparkle off stage for its annual fundraising evening on Saturday, June 24. The dancers and artistic staff will enjoy the chance to celebrate with their guests at the cocktail event, which has been inspired by the fun and frivolity of a carnival. The gala is set to take place in the iconic Melba Spiegeltent in Melbourne.

Entertaining the guests of the night will be the dynamic aerial duo Gemini2. Plus, attendees will have a chance to win over $5,000 worth of prizes. Of course, this special event will be a fantastic opportunity for budding ballerinas to get dressed up and meet the dancers, not to mention support a worthy cause.

Melbourne City Ballet is a not-for-profit arts organisation that strives to “expose and engage audiences with high-quality classical ballet in both the local community and regional Australia.” Its annual fundraising event is held to help bridge the gap between ticket revenue, government funding and sponsorship.

“We have big plans for Melbourne City Ballet,” stated Artistic Director Michael Pappalardo. “We are about to depart on a 30-venue tour of Australia, and we hope that in the coming years we can connect and engage with even more regional and remote communities. Our annual gala is a chance to not only help raise funds to help our vision but also a time for us to celebrate with our stakeholders for all the successes we have had.”

To support the company and enjoy a fun night out, including gourmet canapés, entertainment and a host of prizes, purchase Carnival Gala tickets at www.trybooking.com/QAMJ.
