Melbourne Ballet Company to hold auditions

The Melbourne Ballet Company will hold open auditions on Sunday, March 3rd at the MBC studios at 309 Doncaster Road in North Balwyn, VIC 3104.

Contracts are available for highly trained classical dancers for the company’s touring seasons of Infinite Space and On Air from March through September 2013. The tour commences in Queensland followed by NSW, WA and Victoria.

In the past, auditions have consisted of a classical class, a contemporary repertoire workshop, pointe work and partnering. Dancers are asked to come prepared with the necessary attire and footwear.

Melbourne Ballet Company is led by Artistic Director Alisa Finney, Assistant Artistic Director and Principal Dancer Sharon Fernandez, and Resident Choreographer and Principal Dancer Simon Hoy.
