MADE Ensemble presents ‘Particles’

Mature Artists Dance Experience (MADE) Ensemble is set to present Particles, their highly anticipated major production for 2026, bringing together dance, storytelling and lived experience in a powerful new work.

Choreographed by acclaimed artist Daryl Brandwood, Particles invites audiences to journey along a shoreline where stories emerge, memories surface and hidden thoughts are revealed. The work is performed by MADE’s celebrated 16-member Ensemble of dancers aged 50 and over, showcasing the creative depth, humour and insight that comes from lived experience.

Through a blend of reflection, warmth and expressive contemporary movement, the production highlights individuality and the evolving nature of creativity across time. Rather than defining age as a limitation, Particles positions it as a source of richness and artistic possibility, offering a reminder that dance continues to grow and transform throughout life.

Particles will be performed at Moonah Arts Centre with three performances only: 7pm on 15 May, and 2pm and 7pm on 16 May. Bookings are essential and tickets are on sale now through Humantix.

MADE Friends members and class participants are also invited to an exclusive Behind-the-Scenes session on Tuesday, 12 May at 2pm at Moonah Arts Centre. The event will offer a rare glimpse into the final moments of rehearsal, followed by a conversation between choreographer Daryl Brandwood and Jane Longhurst. The discussion will explore Brandwood’s artistic journey from his beginnings in Perth and performances with The Australian Ballet through to his international work in New York and his ongoing support of mature artists in dance.

The session provides an opportunity to discover what happens behind the scenes of a major production, while connecting with fellow dance enthusiasts and gaining deeper insight into the creative process behind Particles.

Book now for the Behind-the-Scenes session.
