Left Leg Studios hosts auditions for 2016

Left Leg Studios in MelbourneLeft Leg Studios in Melbourne currently offers a full time Diploma of Musical Theatre accredited through Swinburne University, plus accredited and non-accredited part time and full time courses specializing in musical theatre and dance. Dancers looking to apply for 2016 intake should audition on October 3 at 10 a.m. at Left Leg Studios, located at The Powerhouse on Lakeside Drive in Albert Park. The dance portion will be followed by a short interview and a vocal call for musical theatre students.

 

Left Leg Studios exists to give those interested in the performing arts industry a program that’s sole focus is to prepare artists for the professional market. A boutique studio, Left Leg only selects those the leadership feel not only have the potential, but most importantly, the dream and the overwhelming passion to work.

 

Students will train in theatrical and commercial dance, singing, acting, music repertoire, acro and classical ballet. They will also study health, nutrition and anatomy, production relations and general body conditioning. They’ll get to practice with mock auditions. 

 

Left Leg Directors Tim McDowell and Brooke McDowell welcome teachers Melissa Langton, Dana Jolly, Phillip Haddad, Michael Ralf, Matt McFarlane, Kelly Byrne, Jan Di Pietro, Jack Egan, Mike Snell, Emily Paddon-Brown and Nicole Melloy. Guest teachers include Yvette Lee, Roger Rogman, Luke Hunter, Mitchel Butel and Mark Jones.
