Force Majeure offers new intensive

Force Majeure’s new professional dance theatre intensive INCITESydney-based dance company Force Majeure has announced that it will soon offer a new professional dance theatre intensive called INCITE. The weeklong, full-time program will present training in the company’s devising process.

Steered by Force Majeure’s Artistic Director Danielle Micich, the inaugural INCITE program will launch in November and will include additional mentorship by international guest artist Ellen Lauren, the co-artistic director of New York’s SITI Company.

The intensive, which is limited to 14 participants, will focus on three key components: training, improvisation and creation.

INCITE is open to professional dancers, actors and makers with demonstrated industry experience and an existing practice. Those with a multi or inter-disciplinary background who are comfortable working with both text and movement are ideally suited. The program is not suitable for beginners or recent graduates.

The deadline for applications is 5 p.m. on Monday, July 31. Participants will be notified by Friday, August 11. For more information, visit www.forcemajeure.com.au.
