FLING Physical Theatre to Host Free “Take the Pressure Down” Dance Immersion for Regional Teens

FLING Physical Theatre is thrilled to announce “Take the Pressure Down,” a fully subsidised three-day dance industry immersion for regional high school students.

Held 2–4 December 2025 from 9 am to 3 pm daily at FLING’s studios, the program offers a firsthand experience of the creativity, discipline and energy of the professional dance industry.

Fully funded through the Regional Industry Education Partnerships (REIP) Program, it connects regional students with professional artists and provides rare access to high-quality training, professional learning and insight into industry pathways in dance and performance.

The three days mirror the variety and pace of pre-professional dance programs: morning technique classes in Contemporary and Ballet, followed by afternoon workshops in Improvisation, Circus, Parkour, Choreography, Musical Theatre Jazz and Performance Skills.

“Take the Pressure Down” is for students with dance experience and an interest in pursuing tertiary dance education or a career in dance. It is targeted at Year 9 and 10 students and is also open to Year 11 students with capacity in their study schedule.
