Explore the journey of Indian Classical Dance

If you live in WA and have always been curious about Indian culture, then Shastram is a unique opportunity to watch and learn more about Indian Classical Dance. Shastram will present two theatre shows in one day on Saturday, April 7 at Rixon Theatre.

Shastram combines film and theatre, and explores the journey of Indian Classical Dance, looking at it from ancient times to a futuristic era. Altogether, attendees will see five stories, taking them from the 16th century to an imagined 2032. The production shares Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the Shastram series of theatre shows.

This has been deemed the first production in the history of Indian Classical Dance to be presented in this manner.

It will arrive at Rixon Theatre at Penhros College (Throssell Street Entry, Como, WA) on Saturday, April 7 at 5 p.m. and will run till 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale at www.megatix.com.au/events/shastram.
