Exciting New Talent Joins Tim Podesta for Performance of FORTE at The Edge

Tim Podesta Creative are thrilled to announce that two exceptionally talented dancers, selected from auditions held at the Victorian Dance Festival in April 2024, will be joining Tim Podesta Creative and his team for the highly anticipated performance of Forte at The Edge in Federation Square on July 20. 

Alana Pointon from Ev & Bow and Harrison Watson from Transit Dance stood out among a group of remarkable dancers who auditioned. Tim Podesta remarked on the exceptional professionalism and skill demonstrated by all participants, but noted that Alana and Harrison displayed a unique ability to perform alongside our international dancers.

“Selecting Alana and Harrison was an incredibly difficult decision given the high caliber of talent we saw at the auditions. However, their exceptional artistry and commitment made them the perfect fit for this performance,” said Tim Podesta. “We are excited to see how they will contribute to the dynamic and powerful presentation of Forte.”

In Forte, Podesta’s choreography delves into the themes of resilience, vulnerability, and the longing for genuine connection. Through the dancers’ movements, the piece serves as a reflection of the complexities inherent in human experience. As the dancers navigate the intricacies of their interactions, Forte unravels these themes, inviting the audience to contemplate the depths of identity and authenticity. The piece becomes a poignant exploration of the strength found within the human spirit, emphasising that true fortitude transcends mere physicality.

Forte promises to be an unforgettable evening, showcasing the extraordinary talents of dancers from around the world, brought together by Tim Podesta’s visionary choreography. The performance will explore themes of strength, resilience, and artistic expression, set against the vibrant backdrop of the iconic EDGE Theatre at Federation Square.
