Circa to premiere new creation ‘To See the Stars Again’ in France

Circa is set to captivate European audiences this summer with the world premiere of its latest creation, Revoir les étoiles / To See the Stars Again, a bold new production combining large-scale acrobatics, live music and striking visual design.

The new work will premiere at the renowned Nuits de Fourvière festival in Lyon, opening the festival’s landmark 80th season. Featuring twelve acrobats, four live musicians and a stage illuminated by hundreds of glowing lightbulbs, the production draws inspiration from the final line of Dante’s Inferno: “we emerged to see the stars again.”

A meditation on renewal, resilience and hope, To See the Stars Again explores what it means to emerge from silence, rediscover rhythm and build a future while honouring the past. True to Circa’s signature style, the production is expected to blend extraordinary physicality with emotional depth and theatrical spectacle.

Following its premiere in Lyon, the production will travel to Paris to open the Grand Palais’ second-ever summer performing arts season. Beneath the iconic glass dome of one of France’s most celebrated cultural landmarks, audiences will experience Circa’s latest work in a venue famed for hosting world-class art exhibitions, Olympic events and legendary Chanel runway shows.

The company will then conclude its French summer season at Printemps des Comédiens in Montpellier, one of France’s most significant performing arts festivals, now celebrating its 40th edition. Performances will take place on an outdoor stage set among the gardens and pinewoods of the Domaine d’O, creating a fitting backdrop for a production inspired by stars, light and transformation.

Performance dates for Revoir les étoiles / To See the Stars Again are 28–30 May in Lyon, 5–7 June in Paris, and 12–13 June in Montpellier.
