Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive returns in January

Summer Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive 2016Expressions Dance Company is offering students a chance to “dance into their future” at its Summer Brisbane Contemporary Dance Intensive (BCDI), held January 11-15 and 18-22, 2016 in Brisbane.

BCDI is one of Australia’s best contemporary dance training programs. Over the course of two weeks, participants will have the chance to work exclusively with EDC’s award-winning dancers as well as some of Australia’s most respected dance artists, including Craig Bary and Kristina Chan. They’ll get to master their performance skills and deepen their ability to create unique and engaging dance, and have fun while doing it!

The program will focus on the “3 Pillars of Success” for a dance artist – creativity, ability and sustainability. It’s offered across two levels: Aspire (ages 13+) and Momentum (ages 17+ tertiary students.)

Subjects include contemporary dance, improvisation, partnering, repertoire and the theatre of dance. The main teachers are Amy Hollingsworth, Craig Bary, Kristina Chan and the EDC ensemble.

Spaces are limited so interested dancers should jump online and apply today! Both weeks will be hosted at the EDC Studio, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Dancers will be on campus from 9am to 5pm daily. The cost is $570 per person or $1050 for two weeks.
