Bloch to continue as the official pointe shoe partner with the Queensland Ballet

With a ninety-year tradition as artisan designers and creators, it’s not surprising that Bloch has been working with the Queensland Ballet since its inception. Ballet shoes are a dancer’s instrument. They are a tool to aid, support and to provide confidence during every rehearsal and performance. For a company like Bloch, understanding the importance of a dancers’ shoe and especially pointe shoes have always been behind every design.

With every team member dedicated to their craft both Bloch and the Queensland Ballet are filled with talented and inspiring creators, and it is this that bonds the two iconic companies inspiring a partnership that was formed officially five years ago.

Bloch and the Queensland Ballet have reaffirmed their partnership and Bloch will continue to be the Official Pointe Shoe Partner to the Queensland Ballet, and is proud that the Principal Artists Neneka Yoshida and Victor Estévez have been appointed as the New Ambassadors to represent this union.

With this partnership renewal, David Wilkenfeld, of Bloch Australia, said, “It is an honour to be again named as Official Pointe Shoe Partner to the Queensland Ballet. Bloch has a history of creating artisan shoes for over ninety years for some of the finest dancers in Australia and beyond, and we will continue to do this for the Queensland Ballet. Shoes are a significant part of a dancer’s career. The entire team at Bloch understand that each shoe we create must be of the highest quality of function, aesthetic, and form-fitting. This partnership renewal reflects how the Queensland Ballet values our craftsmanship, and in turn, we will continue to develop the best shoes for their incredible artists.”
