Tracks Dance Company, the acclaimed Northern Territory-based hub for community-driven contemporary dance, is inviting passionate individuals to step into a dynamic new role as Administrator. This role is ideal for someone ready to make their next career move in the vibrant world of arts and community connection.

Located in Garamilla (Darwin) on Gulumerrdjin (Larrakia) Country, Tracks Dance has long been celebrated for producing original works that honor the people and places of Australia’s Northern Territory. As a multi-awarded center of excellence, the company fosters collaboration across diverse cultures, ages, and dance practices, creating performances that reflect the unique spirit of the Top End while advancing Australian dance.

With the New Year bringing fresh opportunities, Tracks is seeking an enthusiastic Administrator Super Star to join the team part-time (16 hours per week). This role offers a blend of administrative support, communication, and marketing responsibilities, playing a key part in keeping the company’s operations smooth, creative projects thriving, and community engaged.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and communication/marketing assistance, working closely with the Company Director and Artistic team. In general administration, the role involves handling reception duties and maintaining general office organization; managing office equipment, supplies, and systems including the asset register; coordinating staff logistics such as travel and accommodation; running and recording weekly staff meetings; maintaining records including staff compliance documents such as Working with Children checks and driver’s licenses; collating project evaluations and data; managing studio bookings; and undertaking other duties as assigned by the Company Director.

Financial responsibilities include managing banking, floats, and petty cash, as well as maintaining all financial filing systems.

The marketing and promotion aspects of the role are particularly exciting for someone with a creative flair. This includes developing and executing an annual social media strategy while maintaining an up-to-date marketing schedule; coordinating Tracks’ e-newsletter and special event invitations; reporting monthly on social media activities at staff meetings and maintaining records for Board reports; coordinating print collateral and distribution for projects; setting up and managing ticketing and merchandise; and updating the website regularly while meeting weekly with the Artistic Director to keep content fresh and engaging.

Archiving and company records duties involve maintaining and updating the company database, as well as collaborating with the team to review and update policies and procedures as needed.

Production support forms another important part of the position. This includes sourcing, engaging, and training volunteer Front-of-House and Box Office staff, collecting ticketing information, reconciling box office figures, and compiling statistics, along with managing cash floats for events.

This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $32–$37 plus superannuation, with employees entitled to 4 weeks of annual leave (pro rata).
